Ways To Achieve Healthy Lifestyle

Hi everyone! I am Lesley Mae R. Ojastro, 16 years old and a grade 11 student from St. Jude Thaddaeus. I am going to share to you on how should we achieve a healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and eating healthy foods. Before I begin, we should first know what is healthy lifestyle all about. Well, healthy lifestyle is practicing good health habits. With healthy lifestyle you can only get positive reinforcements out of it such as feeling good. You will have more energy, looking good, sleep better, and you can have healthy hair and skin. There are 2 major factors that I'll be talking about today- healthy eating and exercising. So let's start!

These are the meals that I've eaten today.

1. Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal because it breaks the overnight fasting period. So it's important to eat foods in the morning especially the healthy ones.
• Bananas- a good source of vitamin C, potassium, vitamin B6 and etc. that can produce red blood cells and protect your body against cell and tissue damage.
•Milk- drink a lot of milk everyday to build healthy bones, teeth, and eyes.
•Eggs(with rice) - a good source of protein and vitamin D which help protect bones.

2. Lunch
A meal eaten in the middle of the day.
•Pinakbet- is a popular dish in the Philippines. It has a mixed of nutritious foods that are essential for the body. It has vitamin B1, B6 and C mainly promote the health of the central nervous sytem.
•Pork Adobo- it is also well-known in the Philippines. Pork is rich in thiamine that plays an essential role in various bodily functions.

3. Dinner
The last meal to be eaten.
•Isdang Paksiw- one of my favorite. Fish is among the healthiest foods in the planet. A great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are incredibly important for your body and brain.
•Pinakbet- probably my favorite of all time.

4.  Have A Good Relationship With Friends
Healthy Lifestyle is not all about what you see physically but also mentally. Always communicate with your friends and have fun with them. Good friends can help you through traumatic events and can help you to quit a bad habit you've pick up. So for me, friendship and social support have been linked to better physical health outcomes.

These are my friends in junior high. I am lucky to have them as my real friends because they make me happy.

5. Choose a drink that has a benefit for the body.
I require you to drink  Smart C because it contains 500mg of vitamin C which helps boost immune system. It also enables your body to produce collagen, providing your body the strength and resilience.

6. Other Options for Lunch
•Sinigang na baboy -it has potatoes that contains fiber, potassium, vitamin C and vitamin B6 that supports heart health.
•Add water spinach- it contains carotene, amino acids and minerals such as potassium and iron.
• You can add bananas too.

7. Eat Oranges
Oranges are low in calories and full of nutrients, they promote clear, healthy skin and can help to lower our risk for many diseases as part of an overall healthy and varied diet.

8. Provide your body with Avocados
Avocados are a great source of vitamin C, E, K and B6 as well as riboflavin, magnesium and potassium. The nutrients in avocados helps maintain electrical gradients in our body cells and serves various important functions.

9. Other options for Breakfast
If you're having a rush time eating breakfast in the morning, you can also have  a cereal. You just have to add hot water.

Cereals and wholegrain foods can reduce the risk of developing certain diseases, including coronary heart disease, colon cancer, diabetes and diverticular disease. Common cereal foods include bread, breakfast cereals and pasta.

• You can add apple in your breakfast because I believe that an apple a day makes the doctor away.

10. Other options for Dinner
•Chicken tinola - is a filipino chicken soup usually served as an appetizer or main entree. This dish is cooked with chicken, wegdes of green papaya which is rich in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxodants which prevent cholesterol build up in our arteries and we also have horse raddish used for urinary tract infections and kidney stones.

11. Drink 8 glasses of water everyday and have enough sleep.
Water helps dissolve minerals and nutrients and helps remove waste products.

12. Listen to music
Music helps you find your inner mind peace. I also believe that it is the voice of our heart and soul.

In order to achieve healthy lifestyle, you should also perform proper exercise.

13. Stretching
It keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints.

14. Jogging
It improves our cardiovascular system. It also improves our body's ability to deliver oxygen to our muscles.

15. Be active on sports
Kids nowadays are very active on online games so I encourage you to be active on outdoor or indoor games like basketball, volleyball, soccer and so on.

Playing volleyball is really my passion but I realise that I should try something new, something that I didn't perform long time ago. So now I did try basketball, its not that  easy to play this sport because you really have to have a strong body.

Many people wish to live a good, healthy life and live to be one hundred years old. The only problem is that they don’t want to do the work that comes with living a long life. Hearing the words diet and exercise almost scares them away from the thought of being a healthy individual. But trust me, there is nothing to loose if you give it a try. Always care about yourself as a sign of love and as a sign of respect from Whom who(God) made that. Our life is holistic, we should be healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Thank you for watching this blog. I hope you really learned something ❤️
